Shiatsu heals in many ways, soothing physical aches and stresses
while helping you become aware of your mind, spirit and body.
Through shiatsu you learn to listen to the many subtle messages your
body sends you on a daily basis, and what it is trying to tell you.
Shiatsu is a Japanese word meaning
finger-pressure.
Shiatsu is therapeutic and a relaxing form of
bodywork. Melissa uses her thumbs, fingers and palms to apply
pressure on points along the body to draw out the natural healing
ability of the patient. One of Melissa’s main goals is to help the
patient enjoy a healthy and positive life. The patient remains fully
clothed during the treatment and no oils are used. The strength and
techniques used during the shiatsu treatment are adjusted to suit
their individual needs and concerns.
